Underfoot Feel
The shoe features an Energy Foam midsole which is softer than before but still highly durable. The foam is also excellent for protecting joints and muscles with no compromise on the responsive feel it provides on firm surfaces. Some extra protection is also provided by a layer of ProFeel Film within the midsole.
The All Terrain Contagrip® Outsole ensures superb grip in both wet and dry conditions and across varied terrain.
Upper Fit
The lightweight SensiFit™ upper accommodates a variety of foot shapes. It’s constructed using a flexible and durable 3D mesh and cradles the foot for aprecise fit. Salomon’s renowned Quicklace™ lacing system also ensures the shoe can be put on and taken off quickly.
Ideal Run Type
The Salomon Men’s Sense Ride 5 Running Shoes are supremely versatile and suited to a multitude of different uses. The level of underfoot protection and cushioning make these ideal for use on hard-packed terrain, even for some road use. But when you hit the rougher stuff, they deliver durable and assured grip, whatever the distance.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
